Let me put you on to three names, in case you have somehow missed them.
Ashley Kirkwood. Lamar Tyler. Dr. Erica Jordan-Thomas.
Three Black entrepreneurs who did not wait for anybody's permission. One walked away from a $300,000 law career at one of the biggest firms in the world to build Speak Your Way to Cash, and grew it onto the Inc. 5000 at number 370. One co-founded Traffic Sales & Profit, a community of 47,000 entrepreneurs, made the Inc. 5000 four years straight, and landed on Ebony's Power 100. And one took a Harvard doctorate and 20,000 educators served and turned it into 7-Figure Educator, then wrote the book that hit the New York Times and USA Today bestseller lists.
Impressive, right? But here is what I actually want you to see, because it is the part most people scroll right past.
All three of them turned their framework into a book.
Not a lead magnet. Not a PDF. A real, physical, hold-it-in-your-hands book. And in Ashley's and Erica's and Lamar's case, a companion workbook to go with it, because a book teaches people what you know, but a workbook makes them do something about it.
Why the smartest people in the room keep writing books
Think about it. These are people with courses, communities, stages, and six and seven-figure businesses. They do not need a book to pay the bills. So why did every single one of them make one?
Because a framework trapped in your head, or locked inside a course, can only reach the people who already found you. A book walks into rooms you have never been in. It sits on a shelf in a house you will never visit, teaching your method to somebody you will never meet. It is the cheapest ticket into your world, and the strongest proof that your method is real.
Your course teaches your students. Your book recruits them.
The part where I brag a little
Now, why am I telling you about these three in particular? Because I did not read about them. I worked with them.
When Ashley turned Speak Your Way to Cash into its official workbook, my studio built it. It went so well she came back for a second one, for her newest book, Millions From the Stage. When Dr. Erica's Hay House bestseller needed its official companion workbook, she brought it to us, and yes, a traditionally published New York Times bestselling author chose a Black-owned studio for the product her readers would write in. And Lamar? We designed The Hidden Revenue Formula itself, custom graphics for every lever of his framework, and then built its official workbook, which he now uses to teach paid workshops.
You can see all three stories, with receipts, on our case studies page.
The takeaway, and it is not "be impressed"
The lesson is not that these three are special, although they are. The lesson is that they all made the same move, and it is a move available to you.
If you have a framework, a method, a process people pay you for, you are sitting on a book. The leaders you look up to already made theirs. That is not a coincidence. That is a pattern.
Follow the pattern.
